About the New International Trucks Powertrain
For the new International Trucks powertrain, International engineers combined the legendary strength of the HX Series with the stellar performance, enhanced serviceability, and superior operating economy of the S13 Integrated Powertrain. The result — shifting what’s possible and redefining what a severe-service truck can do. A few noteworthy elements of this new International Trucks powertrain include:
- A remarkably light engine, which allows for significant payload capacity and improved fuel economy.
- Several different PTO options, including a dual option, installed directly at the factory.
- Pairing with the all-new, fully automated T14 manual transmission, which is simpler and more compact.
- A dual-stage aftertreatment system, which allows the S13 Integrated Powertrain to remove a complicated EGR cooler.
International S13 Specs

LT® and RH™ Series
- Between 370 hp and 515 hp
- Between 1,250 lb-ft of torque and 1,850 lb-ft of torque
HX® Series
- Between 400 hp and 515 hp

It’s important to note that full torque is possible at only 900 rpm for the S13 Integrated Powertrain in either series.
