The dimensions of an International semi-truck that you see on Ft. Pierce roads are almost always 8.5 feet wide, 72 feet long, and 13.5 feet tall. These semi-truck dimensions usually have a weight limit of 80,000 pounds. The size variations are in the cab, specifically between day and sleeper cabs. Semi-Trailer Truck Sizes for Your Favorite Makes

In addition to the popular International LT Series sizes and RH Series sizes, Rechtien International Trucks offers several other popular semi-truck models to choose from. Some of the dimensions are as follows:

  • The Freightliner CASCADIA has one day cab and two raised roof configurations, ranging from 60 to 72 inches. Their three mid-roof XT configurations range from 48 to 72 inches.
  • The Kenworth T680 is versatile and easy to customize. Choose from 76-inch high-roof and mid-roof sleepers, or their 52-inch mid-roof and 40-inch flat-top sleepers.
  • Fans of Volvo will find several models and cabs available with interior heights of 61 to 102.25 inches, and mattress depths of 36 to 42 inches, or 75 to 81 inches.
  • If you’re interested in a Peterbilt, you can choose between two on-highway trucks: the 579 and the 589. With the 579 you can choose either a high- or low-roof configuration, or the UltraLoft which gives you a choice from 80, 72, 58, or 44 inches. The 589 sleepers are available in 44, 58, 72, and 80-inch configurations.
